Quality Assurance of Real-Time Oceanographic Data (QARTOD)
Quality Assurance of Real-Time Oceanographic Data (QARTOD) is a multi-agency effort to address the quality assurance and quality control issues of the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) community.
Quality Assurance of Real-Time Oceanographic Data (QARTOD) consists of multiple agencies with the common goal to address the Quality Assurance and Quality Control issues within the international community of the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS).
QARTOD held four workshops, each with different tasks, to address various issues. QARTOD hosted the following workshops:
QARTOD I
Focus: Developing minimum standards for calibration, QA/QC
methods and metadata
QARTOD II
Focus: Wave and current measurements and their unique
calibration, metadata, and QA/QC needs
QARTOD III
Focus: Quality Control for CTDs, in-situ currents, remote
currents, and waves
QARTOD IV
Focus: Challenges related to the collection, distribution,
and description of real-time ocean data
