Coastal Risk Atlas (CRA) - Alabama

The Coastal Risk Atlas for Alabama provides an interactive mapping application developed to aid hurricane preparedness efforts by providing the data and methodology necessary to conduct vulnerability assessments for coastal areas in Alabama.

No Map

This map covers the twelve southernmost counties in Alabama. The map displays hazard data, demographic data, critical facilities, land use, wetlands, and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulated sites. Hazard data include storm surge, flood zones, wind model outputs, and a composite layer of these three datasets.

Use the demographic data to locate socially vulnerable populations specifically for evacuation assistance concerns, evacuation resource concerns, structural integrity concerns, and communicate concerns.

*Please note: The demographic data represents the 2000 U.S. Census numbers.

**Please note: Enable JavaScript and disable pop-up blocking for the map to function properly.
