Mississippi Department of Marine Resources Interactive Map
NCDDC collaborated with other federal partners to provide the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) with a suite of coastal satellite imagery products and model outputs for fisheries management.
NOAA's National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC), the NASA Applied Sciences Directorate, the Naval Research Laboratory, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Gulf of Mexico Program, NOAA National Ocean Services, and NOAA Coastal Services Center have collaborated to provide a suite of coastal satellite imagery products and model outputs to the
MDMR for use in both shellfish and finfish management activities.
The delivery of timely and relevant information to coastal managers facilitates the decision-making process related to Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) and other coastal issues of concern. This map aids users in assessing current impacts to area ecosystems via imagery products. Ancillary data sets such as the transportation network and cities provide context to the imagery.
